KNUST ONLINE COURSE REGISTRATION

Every semester, every student is expected to register for the course that he or she will be taking.

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

1. You must pay any fees that are outstanding in full. This may be accomplished by making payments using your KNUST student site or AIM app, or by paying to any of the KNUST-affiliated banks.
2. Biometric verification. You must validate your biometric data and submit the relevant details. This certifies your registration for an online course. For freshmen, you must accompany your admission letter. You must bring your school identification card if you are a continuing student. The different halls (for freshmen), Casley Hayford building, ICT Centre (first floor of the main library), Carrera/SRC ICT Centre (commercial area), and the other academic IT centers are designated registration locations.

There are 2 ways to go about it;

1. Using the online student portal

2. Through the KNUST Aim app

Using the Online Student Portal

1. Log into your student portal via https://apps.knust.edu.gh/students/ using your student ID, username and password.
2. Select PROFILE. Review and edit personal information to make sure they are correct and up to date. You are to verify, fill and complete all required fields on this page. Click on Update Profile & continue once you have completed this step.
3. Select Online Registration for semester registration. Make sure to read all the instructions. Click on Proceed to Course Registration.
4. At the top left, you may click the button to Register. Your Trailed courses (if any) and Compulsory courses for the semester will be automatically selected by the system. Select your Department Elective if any. You may select any Open Elective (VC’s courses) if you desire.  At the top right, you may click “Delete All Registered Course” only if an error was made.
5. Click, “Save and Print Registration” button to complete your registration. On clicking on this button, you are prompted for the Pop-up Settings for the Browser. Please allow Pop-ups to enable you to print your slip.
6. Clicking Save and Print Registration automatically logs you out.

Using the KNUST Aim app

1. Open the KNUST Aim app
2. Select Registration from the Quick Access tab
3. Click on the Get Registration slip button
4. Enter the four-digit pin code you created upon signing up for the first time
5. Then select your year and current semester to get registration slip
6. You slip will be downloaded. Print it out and, sign and submit it to your examinations officer.
