#NSMQ; Adgass, KSTS, St. Hubert, St. Mary’s Girls Qualify in Grand Style

Adu Gyamfi Senior High School produced a scintillating performance to qualify at the skin of their teeth in a closely contested qualifier verses St. Monica’s SHS and Bekwai based SDA in the ongoing National Science and Maths Quiz qualifying Competition for the Ashanti Region.

Mampong based St. Monica’s showed clear intent to pick the sole ticket in the group but SDASS also showed determination to challenge for the ticket but it was the Jamasi based Adu Gyamfi SHS that wanted it most as they won round 4 in grand style to pick the automatic ticket to the National Championship.

Earlier on, St Hubert Seminary proved too strong for St. Joseph’s Seminary, Christ the King and Collins SHS. Hubert managed 50pts ahead of 2nd placed St Joseph’s Seminary who managed only 27 points.

St. Mary’s Girls SHS based in Konongo shocked Akumadan, Jacobu SHTS and Uthmaniya SHS to secure a qualification slot by 47 points. The Catholic school joined fellow Catholic school St Hubert Seminary who also secured qualification ticket on the day.

Kumasi Senior High Technical School was too good for New Edubiase shs, Beposo SHS and Bodwesango as they amassed 60 points to qualify for the national competition.
