O. T., Amaniampong SHS, YAGSS Win Big at Day 2 of NSMQ Ashanti Qualifiers

Osei Tutu SHS secured qualification after a hard won victory over a determined Mankranso SHS side who gave the winners a good run for their money in the on going Regional qualifiers of the National Science and Maths Quiz Competition.

Adventist Girls also gave a good account of themselves in the hottest contest of the day as O. T. proved too strong for the four other schools to book qualification to the National Championship with 50 points, one of the highest in the qualifiers considering the scores from all the other regions qualifiers.

Mampong based Amaniampong SHS also secured qualification in a dramatic fashion after beating Kumasi Girls by just 4 point margin. It was a close contest with the two schools battling for the single ticket to the National Championship.

Juaben SHS and Mpasatia also gave a good account of themselves in that contest but Amaniampong proved too superior for all of them.

Yaa Asantewaa Girls proved too strong for their competitors after securing 39 points to qualify ahead of Dadease, Mansoman, Asare Bediako SHS and St Jerome. The four schools did not disappoint as they managed to secure decent points in their contest.
