O. T. Rocks, Prempeh Shocked, KUHIS Dazzles, OWASS Survives, KOSS; KASS & Hubert Bow Out

Osei Tutu Senior High school shocked defending champions Prempeh College in the ongoing regional championship of the National Science and Maths Quiz Competition. Osei Tutu SHS seem to be in an incredible form having accounted for Yaa Asantewaa Girls earlier on. The Akropong based school led through the earlier rounds with many people expecting them to succumb to pressure from the National Champions but the resolve of the blue and white boys could not be broken as they held on through the four rounds of contest in the semi finals. St Hubert Seminary and Konongo Odumasi SHS could not threaten high flying O. T. as the Abrempongs cruised to victory in grand style awaiting their compatriots Kumasi High School in the Final.

Kumasi High School had their work cut out for them, they were underdogs against an experienced Opoku Ware side who are veterans in this competition.

It was tight, it was tough but the Toronto boys were determined to surprise the Owareans against all odds and true to their words, they did. Kumasi Anglican could not threaten the Toronto Boys as they led all through the four rounds of competition to set up an exciting Regional Finals where solidarity and alliance make way for rivalry as O. T. clashes with their friends Kumasi High School. Opoku Ware School stunned Prempeh again to pic the last final ticket after winning a tie breaker. The tie breaker was necessary after the Prempeh and Opoku Ware all secured 31 points in their respective contests.

All is set for the grand finale of the Ashanti Regional Championship of the National Science and Maths Quiz Competition. Who wins the trophy from Prempeh College?
