The Rules for LG Grand Finale for Schools qualified to perform in the grand finale of the Literary Group Competition has been released.

A dozen number of schools will be seeking to win laurels at the Grand Finale of the LG Competition which bounced back after two years of absence.

The list of schools all secured qualification after a grueling preliminary round of competition at five centers.
The following rules will be applicable at the Grand Finale of the competition.

RULES/FORMAT OF THE COMPETITION.
All performers are to avoid the use of live animals, knife or any sharp object, Fire, breakable objects or any object that can harm performers or the audience. Schools will be disqualified for using any of these.

REGISTRATION
All schools that have qualified will not register again to be part. However list of performers including names must be submitted using a template provided to all Patrons.

Rate:
All Not-performers intending to watch the program will pay an entry fee of GH10.00
However schools will be given a limited number of non-performers to attend the program. Such people must come with their official school delegation. No one will be permitted at the venue if they come on their own.

TOPICS FOR DRAMA/POETRY
Drama/Poem should conclude with the Lesson:

1. “safety in the midst of a pandemic”
2. “Students violence, school rivalry, student clashes and its consequences”
3. ”exam malpractice and its consequences”
4. “Indiscipline among students and consequences”
5. “Students using phones to record and share obscene acts and its implications now the future”

Rules for Drama
Maximum of 6 minutes for DRAMA.
Drama should be based on the given topics.
Script, Cast and roles of all performers should be
submitted at the registration desk.
Note: No live objects, examples, knife, fire, blood etc or breakable object or any object of harm. Schools will be disqualified for going contrary
Performers should be at most eight (8).

Rules for the Choreography/Formation Dance

Maximum of 4 minutes
Performers should be at most eight (8).
Names of all performers should be submitted to the
registration desk.

Rules for Cultural Dance
Maximum of 4 minutes
Performers should be at most eight (10) including drummers
Names of all performers should be submitted to the
registration desk.

Rules for Music
instrumentalist/ Musicians should be students in the school.
Miming of songs not allowed. Either live music/acapella
No voice over instrumentals

Rules for Poetry
Maximum of 3 minutes for each presentation.
A maximum of two (2) persons are to present the poem
Poetry should be based on the 5 topics stated above.

Rules For Drama
Participants are to choose one of the three options: Stand-up Comedy, Farce, Sentimental Comedy, Satirical Comedy, Black Comedy, etc.
Orderly and clarity of message will be accorded.
Comedy and stage control will be merited.
Profanity will not be tolerated
Maximum of two comedians.

The date and venue of the competition will be communicated to Patrons when ready.
