Established on the 31st December, 2011, the University Of Energy And Natural Resources is one of the topmost universities in Ghana and the best in Sunyani in the Western Region of Ghana.

University of Energy and Natural Resources  aims to become a centre of excellence for the training of scientists and technologists for Ghana and beyond.

The University is a public funded national institution which seeks to provide leadership and management of energy and natural resources and be a centre of excellence in these critical areas.

The University currently has nine schools. They are:

  • School of Agriculture and Technology.
  • School of Energy.
  • School of Engineering.
  • School of Geosciences.
  • School of Graduate Studies.
  • School of Management Sciences and Law.
  • School of Mines and Built Environment.
  • School of Natural Resources.
  • School of Sciences.

How Many Campuses Does University Of Energy And Natural Resources(UENR) Have?

UENR has three campuses. They are:

  • Dormaa Campus: This is home to the School of Agriculture and Technology and School of Geosciences.
  • Nsoatre Campus is where the School of Engineering dwells.
  • Sunyani Campus (Which is mainly for the School of Sciences, School of Natural Resources, School of  Graduate Studies and the Main Administration of the university as well as the University Library.)
