With Nursing Training College Admission Portal opening soon for interested students desiring to enroll at the various nursing Training Colleges, we compile previous cut off points to assist prospective applicants.

To have a fair appreciation of of your chances at being admitted for a particular course, one must have a fair idea of previous Cut off Points to serve as a guide in the selection of courses for the 2022/2023 academic year.

We have compiled a guide of previous Cut-Off Points to help prospective applicants for the 2022/2023 academic year.

Note: These are Tentative Cut-Off Points and may vary depending on the level of competition for admission each year. When competition for admission is keener, the Cut-Off Points may vary depending on the number of students intake for a particular course.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR NURSING PROGRAMMES

Auxiliary Programmes
1. . Nurse Assistant Clinical (NAC )
2. Nurse Assistant Preventive (NAP)

WASSCE Applicants

  • A cut off aggregate score of Forty Eight (48) or better in six subjects, comprising 3 core and 3 elective subjects.
  • AT LEAST credits (A1-E8) in three core subjects. .e. English, Mathematics and Integrated Science
  • AT LEAST passes (A1-E8) in three Elective subjects

SSSCE Applicants

  • A cutoff aggregate score of Thirty (30) or better in six subjects, comprising 3 core and 3 elective subjects.
  • AT LEAST Passes (A-E) in three core subjects i.e English, Mathematics and Integrated Science.
  • AT LEAST passes (A-E) in three Elective subjects

Basic Nursing Programmes

WASSCE Applicants

  • An aggregate score of thirty (30) or better in six subjects, comprising 3 core and 3 elective subjects.
  • Credits (A1 – C6) in three Core Subjects i.e. English, Mathematics and Integrated Science
  • Credits (A1 – C6) in three Elective Subjects.

SSSCE Applicants

  • An aggregate score of Twenty Four (24) or better in six subjects, comprising 3 core and 3 elective subjects.
  • Credits (A- D) in three Core Subjects i.e. English, Mathematics and Integrated Science
  • Credits (A – D) in three Electives Subjects.

ALLIED HEALTH PROGRAMMES

Certificate Programmes

WASSCE Applicants

  • Credits (A1 – C6) in three (3) Elective Subjects

SSSCE Applicants

  • An aggregate score of Twenty Four (24) or better in six (6) subjects, comprising three (3) core and three (3) elective subjects
  • Credits (A- D) in three (3) Core Subjects i.e. English, Mathematics and Integrated Science
  • Credits (A – D) in three (3) Electives Subjects

COLLEGE OF HEALTH, KINTAMPO (CoHK)
The College of Health and Wellbeing, Kintampo, formerly known as the Rural Health Training School runs about fourteen (14) different programmes. These programmes range from Certificate (Auxiliary) through to the Bachelors level and cover both preventive and curative health care. Some of the programmes are direct entry programmes (for SSSCE graduates) whilst others are Post basic Entry Programmes (for serving officers).

Requirements for entry into these programmes vary according to the programme offered.
• Direct Entry (using SSSCE or WASSCE) Programmes requiring General Science as an elective
• Direct Entry (using SSSCE or WASSCE) Programmes which do not require General Science as an elective

  • An aggregate score of thirty (30) or better in six (6) subjects, comprising three (3) core and three (3) elective subjects.
  • Credits (A1 – C6) in three (3) Core Subjects i.e. English, Mathematics and Integrated Science
  • Credits (A1 – C6) in three (3) Science Elective Subjects. i.e. Biology, Physics, Chemistry.

SSSCE

  • An aggregate score of Twenty Four (24) or better in six (6) subjects, comprising three (3) core and three (3) elective subjects.
  • Credits (A- D) in three (3) Core Subjects i.e. English, Mathematics and Integrated Science.
  • Credits (A- D) in three (3) Science Elective Subjects. i.e. Biology, Physics, Chemistry

Programmes which do NOT Require General Science as an Elective

  • Technical Officer (Health Information Option)
  • Technical Officer (Community Health – Disease Control& Surveillance Option)

  • Credits (A1 – C6) in three (3) elective subjects the following: General Arts, General Science, Home Economics (Food and Nutrition Option) and Agricultural Science (excluding crop and animal husbandry).

SSSCE

  • An aggregate score of Twenty Four (24) or better in six (6) subjects, comprising three (3) core and three (3) elective subjects
  • Credits (A- D) in three (3) Core Subjects i.e. English, Mathematics and Integrated Science
  • Credits (A – D) in three elective subjects the following: General Arts, General Science, Home Economics (Food and Nutrition Option) and Agricultural Science (excluding crop and animal husbandry).

BSc. Physician Assistant Dental

SERVICE REQUIREMENT

  • Registered Dental Surgery Assistants with two (2) years work experience will be admitted to level 300
