#NSMQ: Sakafia Shocks Amass Phobia, Wesley High-B and Adventist Bantama Qualify in Style
Sakafia Islamic senior high school sent shock waves in the realms of the wacademic world when they conquered T.I Amass Phobia ,St. Joseph’s SHTS and Nkawie SHTS in the on going regional qualifiers of the National Science and Maths Quiz Competition in the Ashanti Region. Sakafia pulled the biggest surprise of the day when they overpowered favorites T.I Amass Kumasi to pick the only qualifications slot for that contest. The Islamic School will therefore be making their maiden appearance in the national championship in the competition. It was all jubilation in school as students of Sakafia SHS carried their Headmaster shoulder high following their surprise qualification to the National Championship of the Science and Maths Quiz Competition. Ayigya Zongo will celebrate deep into the night.
In the other contest , Adventist SHS Bantama produced an amazing performance to qualify for the national competition at the expense of Wesley SHS Konongo, Agona SHTS and Tepa SHS.
In the other contest, Bekwai based Wesley High School pulled a surprise as they overpowered pre-competition favorite T.I Amass Fomena . Gyaama Pensan SHTS and Namong SHTS were not good enough as Wesley SHS Bekwai picked the only ticket to the national championship. There were exciting scenes at Bekwai as Wesley High made a triumphant entry to school after securing qualification.
Former semi finalist Tepa SHS were the biggest disappointment on the day after amassing only 15 points in four rounds. Tepa were pale shadows of themselves on the day having set the pace in previous years.
