Mr. Atta Kyeremeh Jonas Jnr, a science teacher from Bantama Methodist JHS has been crowned Best Teacher in Kumasi Metro. The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly in partnership with Metro Education Directorate organized the Metro Best Teacher Award on 20th May, 2022.

The 2021 Metro Best Teacher/Schools Awards was held at the Kumasi Anglican Senior High School under the theme: “The Role of Stakeholders in Prioritizing Quality Education”.

The program was under the chairmanship of Asemhene Nana Kyei Baffour.

In a remark by the Metro Coordinating Director, Mr. Akuamoah Boatengwho represented the Kumasi Mayor Hon. Sam Pyne, stated, that, the significance of the event was a wakeup call to all stakeholders in the education sector to recognize and support the need to motivate and equip teachers to successfully and efficiently carry out their roles and responsibilities in terms of quality education.

He reiterated, that, the Assembly is doing all it can to promote education within the metropolis through the education directorate.

Some hard working teachers and schools received citation and other prizes.

The 2021 overall Metro Best Teacher award was given to Mr. Atta Kyeremeh Jonas Jnr who took home a certificate and a deep-freezer. He is a science teacher from Bantama Methodist JHS.
