Calandar for Inter-School Sports Out: Soccer, Inter-Co & Su-zo Dates Confirmed
From the 11th of June, 2022 to the fifth of August, inter-school sports competition Bounces back into life with the Calandar of activities now approved for a take off following the endorsement of a letter by the Regional Director of Education, Ashanti.
Ashanti region is the hub of school sports and with many people longing to have their favorite school sports bounce back to life, all is set now for a smooth take off of various event earmarked for the year. Inter school cross country will take place on the 11th of June with many schools ready to showcase their talent. Volleyball, handball, basketball, table tennis and handball will bounce back on 14th to the 17th of June. 23rd to 29th June will be dedicated for Girls Soccer competition. The Group stages of the Boys Soccer will be held at the same time while the main soccer competition at the sports stadium will kick off from 4th to 8th July. Inter school athletics competition Zonal level competition will be held in 14th to 29th July with the super Zonal competition slated for 4th to 5th August.
The refreshing news comes after two years of dormancy following the onset of Covid. Many talented students did not get the opportunity to compete in the last two years and so this will be a welcome news to many school sports enthusiasts.
