UNIVERSITY OF GHANA ADMISSION LIST
The University of Ghana (UG – LEGON) is one of the most prestigious, oldest, and largest of all the Ghanaian national public universities.
It was founded in 1948, in the British colony of the Gold Coast as the University College of the Gold Coast, and was originally an affiliated college of the University of London, which supervised its academic programs and awarded degrees.
For every academic year, the management of the University of Ghana (UG Legon) releases the names of applicants who applied for admission into various programs in the institution for a specific academic session.
THE UG(LEGON) ADMISSION LIST
This list of successfully admitted students is known as the Admission List.
The admission list, therefore, is simply the names of successfully admitted applicants offered provisional admission into an institution.
Admission lists are usually released by the tertiary institutions after the conduct of the admission screening exercise and it usually comes in batches (1st/first batch, second/supplementary admission list, 3rd/third batch, and sometimes a fourth (4th) batch, etc.)
After the school has released the admission list, it is then announced on the official website of the University by the school’s management for the students who applied for the admission to check the list if they met the criteria for the university to admit them or not.
Applicants are therefore advised to refresh the list and search for their names in that list since due to a large number of the applicants, the network might be jammed which sometimes makes it difficult for applicants to have easy and faster access to the University’s Website.
After that, all successfully admitted students (Prospective students) are expected to complete their registration within a week to seal their place in the school’s admission system.
If one happens to be admitted or given admission into the University of Ghana (UG) Legon, kindly download, print the Legon admission letter on the portal, and proceed to pay your school fees.
The newly admitted students are required to check the University of Ghana (UG) Legon School Fees and opening date for the first semester of the academic year as they may be different from the fees and dates for continuing students.
