The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) GUSSS hostel contains Brunei and Chancellor’s Hall, also known as Hall 7. Brunei Hostel is divided into four categories: Baby Brunei, Brunei Complex, Old Brunei, and New Brunei, each with its own set of room types (4 in 1, 2 in 1, 2 in 2, and 3 in 1)

KNUST GUSSS Hostels are the most popular hostels at KNUST due to the numerous advantages that residents and students who sleep there enjoy. Getting a room there has been difficult at times as a result of this.

How Do I Book Accommodation Through The KNUST GUSSS Hostels Accommodation Portal?
Thousands of students apply to these hostels each year. As a result, the Brunei hostel and Chancellor’s Hall Hostel have an electronic booking system that is similar to the KNUST SRC hostel application if you are familiar with it.
The GUSSS management has outlined the simple steps for applying for Brunei through the KNUST GUSSS hostels Accommodation portal. The GUSSS hostel portal usually opens in March, allowing students to reserve a room.
- Visit the GUSSS Hostel room allocator portal here https://gusss.knust.edu.gh/booking/
- Login with your username and password.
- A window will open with all hostels listed with available room types and space.
- Choose your preferred hostel (Baby Brunei, Brunei Complex, New Brunei, Old Brunei, or Hall 7) and room type to book the room
NB: Please note that you don’t choose your room number. You only get to choose the type of room (4 in 1etc.) Room numbers are given the day before reopening and mostly via text message on the number used in the registration process.
- Save and print out the form.
- Make payment to the bank indicated on the form.
- You’ll be handed two receipts. One which you’ll submit at the GUSSS secretariat (at New Brunei) and the other for your keeping. This receipt you keep is what would grant you entry to your room.
Important Information For Brunei Hostel Applicants
Please keep in mind that the entire registration process should be completed on a laptop or computer rather than a mobile phone.
Your internet connection should be stable enough, as the system can become clogged at times due to everyone applying at the same time when the portal is opened.
