WhatsApp is an Online chatting, video, files, medial, links, information sharing android app, that has more than 1 billion users around the world. You can download the application using the Google Plays tore and the WhatsApp app only allows the user to join maximum 256 members.
As long as you know a person’s phone number and they have an active WhatsApp account, you can create a link that will allow you to start a chat with them. By clicking the link, a chat with the person automatically opens. Click to chat works on both your phone and WhatsApp Web.
This is why the KWAME NKRUMAH UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY has made provisions for its students by creating an online WhatsApp account to bring its students under one umbrella.
This WhatsApp account also has a customized link, that it shared with new students who wish to join the KNUST WhatsApp group. Without the group invite link, one can’t become a member of the WhatsApp group or join or have access to the platform.
It is also on this WhatsApp page that information is sent to both students and sometimes parents.
