THREE-SEMESTER BACHELOR OF EDUCATION SANDWICH PROGRAMMES
The National Association of Teachers (GNAT) lays strong emphasis on Continuous Professional Development for its members organizing training workshops for members to expand and deepen their knowledge on general issues, education, the economy, politics, religion, culture, international relations, Health, the environment, technology and contemporary pedagogical skills, among others, so that they would be of utmost benefit, not only to their students, but their communities, as well as perform their professional services.
About the Program
The Institute of Education, University of Cape Coast, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) is running a Three-Semester Bachelor of Education (Post-Diploma in Basic Education) Programmes in the sandwich mode to upgrade holders of the Diploma in Basic Education(DBE) to a Bachelor’s degree. Applications are open for the (third) batch of students.
NOTE THAT ONLY those who have passed the Diploma in Basic Education Examinations or have the DBE Certificate will be required to fill the form online. NO fee is required before filling the application form online.
Applicants will be required to indicate the programme of their choice and the Study Centre, in line with their elective subject areas.

- ED. (Post-Diploma) Junior High School (JHS) Education
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, online teaching and learning will be adopted to support the traditional face-to-face approach.

Apart from the Early Childhood Education programme, applicants for Primary and JHS programmes should choose centres that offer their corresponding elective subjects.
Applicants who are interested in studying the under-listed programmes are to note the proposed study centres.
