UCC 5 SEMESTER SANDWICH PROGRAMME 2022/2023

According to Wikipedia, “A sandwich course is an academic degree or higher education course involving practical work experience in addition to academic study” 

The management of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has published the top up online admission forms for the five (5) semester Bachelor of Education sandwich programme for the 2022 /2023 academic year which will be on sale till the 10th of June,2022.

WHAT IS A FIVE SEMESTER SANDWICH PROGRAMME.

The UCC Five Semester Sandwich Programme is rolled out as an alternative to permit people who cannot pass through the normal four year undergraduate programme.

The five (5)Semester Bachelor of Education Sandwich Programme was created for teachers interested in teaching Senior High School subjects.

GENERAL REQUIREMENT

• You must be a teacher in service.
• You must have passes in your Diploma of Basic Education Examinations or have the DBS Certificate.

Diploma in Basic Education (DBE) holders can now proceed to getting a Bachelor’s degree.

PROGRAMMES AVAILABLE 

• Bachelor of Education (Science)

Prospects must have: Diploma in Basic Education (Science and Mathematics Option) with Credit in any two of the following: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Elective Mathematics in SSSCE/WASSCE

• Bachelor of Education (Mathematics)

Prospects must have: Diploma in Basic Education (Science and Mathematics Option) with Credit in Elective Mathematics, and any one of the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE: Chemistry or Physics, Economics.

• Bachelor of Education (Arts)

Prospects must have: Diploma in Basic Education with Credit in any two of the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE: History, Christian/Islamic Religious Studies, French, Literature in English, Ghanaian Language.

• Bachelor of Education (Social Sciences)

Prospects must have: Diploma in Basic Education with Credit in any two of the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE: Economics, Geography, Elective Mathematics.

• Bachelor of Education (Social Studies)

Prospects must have: Diploma in Basic Education with Credit in Geography and any one of the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE: Economics, History and Government.

• Bachelor of Education (Home Economics)

Prospects must have: Diploma in Basic Education with Credit in any two of the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE: Food and Nutrition, Clothing and textiles, Management in living or General Knowledge in Arts, Biology and Chemistry.

• Bachelor of Education (Management)

Prospects must have: Diploma in Basic Education with Credit in Business Management and any two of the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE: Accounting, Costing, Economics, Elective Mathematics.

• Bachelor of Education (Accounting)

Prospects must have: Diploma in Basic Education with Credit in Accounting and any two of the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE: Business Management, Costing, Economics, Elective Mathematics.

• Bachelor of Education (Information Technology)

Prospects must have: Diploma in Basic Education with Credit in any two of the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE: Economics, Business Management, Accounting and Elective Mathematics.
