The National Science and Maths Quiz Competition kicked off in grand style at various Auditoriums in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology today.

Some schools have made their intentions clear that they will not be pushovers in this year’s competition. Their points tally in their opening competition are a clear attestation of what Ghanaians should expect.

Osei Tutu SHS were a delight to watch as they smoothly sailed through to the next round by amassing 60 points. That tally of points was the 2nd highest on the day after St. Thomas Aquinas swept an incredible 85 Points on the day in their first contest.

Amaniampong SHS also made a strong statement by chalking 57 points at the end of their contest.

Sakafia Islamic SHS proved too strong for their compatriots gathering 56 points in their first contest.

The day belonged to Team Ashanti who are attempting to win the competition consecutively following Prempeh College’s victory in last year’s championship.

Ashanti schools proved too strong for their colleagues making strong winning statements in day one of the National Science and Maths Quiz Competition.
