Athletics: 10 SHS Athletes To Rep Ghana At All Africa U18 Youth Championship in Zambia

The Ghana Athletics Association has selected ten athletes from the just ended Special Athletics Competition held at the Baba Yara Stadium to represent Ghana in Zambia.

Ghana will be represented by 6 Girls and  4 Boys in the U18 category.

Two Girls from Mfantsiman Girls, another two from St. Louis SHS and one from Anglican SHS, Ksi will represent Ghana’s interest in the All Africa U18 Championship in Lusaka, Zambia.

In the Boys category, two Boys from Mfantsipim and one each from KASS and OKESS will hoist Ghana’s flag at the games.

The athletes were selected from the just ended Special Athletics competition organized by the Ghana Athletics Association, the National Sports Authority and the Ghana Education Service at thew Baba Yara Stadium for selected Senior High Schools in Ghana a week ago.

The ten Boys and Girls will also compete in the 5 nations invitational championship scheduled for Tamale from the 12th to 14th of April to fine tune their preparations for the All Africa Games.

The Lusaka Games is scheduled for the 28th of April to the 3rd of May, 2023 and will see qualified athletes from African Nations compete in various events in the U18 and U20 Categories.
