The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) was set up in the year 2009 as an integration of the three revenue agencies, that is the Customs, Excise, and Preventive Service (CEPS), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Value Added Tax Service (VATS) and the Revenue Agencies Governing Board (RAGB) about the Ghana Revenue Authority Act 2009, (Act 791).

The Authority is made up of two operational divisions; Domestic Tax Revenue Division (DTRD), and  Customs Division (CD) with assistance from the Support Services Division (SSD) and the Commissioner General’s Secretariat.

A board of directors or Board members is an executive committee that jointly supervises the activities of an organization, which can be either a for-profit or a nonprofit organization such as a business, nonprofit organization, or government agency.
