Inter-School Soccer: Prempeh, Kass, ADGAS, Sakafia Qualify For Semi Finals

Osei Kyeretwie Senior High school will have the opportunity to play Adu Gyamfi SHS in the last quarter finals of the day after winning their early kick off last round of 16 game against Opoku Ware School at the ongoing Ashanti shs soccer competition at the Baba Yara Stadium.

OKESS won 5:4 on penalties after a pulsating 0:0 game this morning to book a date with Adu Gyamfi SHS in the last quarter finals of the day.

1st QUARTER FINAL MATCH

Prempeh College beat surprise package of the competition Fast Track Academy4:1 in regulation time to pick up the first semi final ticket.

Ten man Fast Track Academy were not good enough to stop Prempeh College after their early resolve were broken by Prempeh who shipped in 4 goals. The second half red card weakened Fast Track.

Quarter Final Match 2

T. I.  Amass, Kumasi are out of the competition curtesy a 2:1 defeat to Sakafia Shs. A very beautiful through ball from Sakafia set up a one on one move which was beautifully converted by Sakafia to go up by 1:0. Amass equalized after a well calculated move throwing the stadium into frenzy.

But the equaliser was short lived as Sakafia headed in a beautiful corner to restore their lead. Sakafia managed to hold on to end the game at 2::1. They are therefore through to the semi finals.

Kumasi Anglican SHS outplayed Our Lady of Grace SHS and outscored them by 2:0 in the 3rd of the semi finals of the competition.

Kass looked solid right from the blast of the whistle and dominated play taking two of their numerous chances to send OLAG packing.

 

In the last round of 16 match of the day, Adu Gyamfi SHS won 1:0 via a penalty after OKESS missed an opportunity to equalise through a similar penalty opportunity.

Five time champions Adu Gyamfi SHS who last won the competition in 2017 to set a semi final date with KASS.

Sakafia SHS will also take on Prempeh College in the first semi final of the day.
