KNUST MASTERS WEEKEND PROGRAMS
Mode of Masters Programs application
The sale of E-Vouchers for admission shall commence on 23rd May 2022. At the time of application, applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent from a recognized Institution in the relevant field of study.
Preference will be given to applicants with FIRST CLASS OR SECOND CLASS (UPPER DIVISION).
Prospective applicants should purchase an e-Voucher containing a Login ID/Serial Number and PIN for GHȼ280.00 at the following banks: GCB Bank, Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG), or Ecobank or dial *447*160# on any network and follow the prompts. Candidates should then proceed to the online admissions portal: https://apps.knust.edu.gh/admissions/ and begin the application process.
Once the process is completed, candidates MUST PRINT OUT TWO (2) COPIES of the completed application form from the portal and submit them (by post) to the School of Graduate Studies together with all relevant documents (Photocopies of Certificates, two (2) Recommendation Letters/Confidential Reports, Statement of Purpose, and [Transcript for those whose qualification used for the application was not obtained from KNUST]) to the following address:

Any hand-delivered application shall not be processed. The deadline for the sale of forms and completion of online application is on 31st October 2022. Application forms submitted after the deadline shall not be processed. Only candidates who successfully gain admission shall be notified subsequently.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class (Upper
Division)) in Agriculture or related disciplines from any recognized
University.
Candidates with Second Class (Lower Division) would be
required to pass a selection interview.

Candidates must have a Master’s degree or its equivalent in Agriculture or related disciplines from any recognized University and shall submit evidence of adequate training and ability to undertake the proposed program.
2. Department of Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness and
Extension
i. MSc. Agribusiness Management
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class (Upper Division)) in Agribusiness Management, Business Administration, Agriculture, and relevant subject areas from an approved University or Institution of Higher Learning. Preference would be given to candidates with several years of relevant academic, administrative, or field experience. Candidates shall be required to pass a selection interview.

PROGRAMME DURATION
Unless otherwise stated, Masters Programs (Full-Time) are of Two (2) Academic Years and (Part-Time) Three (3)Academic Years duration. Ph.D. Programs (Full-Time) are for Four (4) Academic Years and (Part-Time) are for Five (5) Academic Years duration.
The Master of Philosophy is a modular program of two years duration and is divided into four modules. Participants/Students may therefore enroll in the program and terminate their studies after completing one or two modules and obtain a certificate of participation or may continue to complete all four modules and obtain a Master of
Philosophy degree.
Participants who wish to obtain a Postgraduate Diploma, a Master of Art, or a Master of Philosophy degree must be holders of a good bachelor’s degree (First Class or Second Class (Upper Division) or their equivalent)) in Engineering, Science, Health, and the Humanities.
Applicants with Second Class Lower Division with some work experience may be admitted. Applicants who wish to earn only certificates of participation may be admitted with
a higher school certificate. All applicants will be admitted upon passing an interview.
