The Schools and Colleges Sports Federation of the Ashanti Region has not received any court injunction from Asanteman SHS as being speculated by a section of some outfits.

The Federation however acknowledged the receipt of an Appeal lodged by Asanteman SHS against the decision by the Disciplinary Committee to declare Obuasi SHTS winners of their quarter final game played at Len Clay Stadium.

Asanteman SHS is calling on the Appeals Committee to take a second look at the earlier decision by the Disc

plinary Committee. It is unclear what the decision of the Appeals Committee will be since Obuasi SHTS went on further to play T. I. Amass, Ksi in the semi final and eventually lost by 1:0 to Amass. Asanteman is seeking to annul the results of the Disciplinary Committee and to be given the opportunity to play Amass for the semi finals. Even though there’s no precedence like that, Asanteman is confident that they can overturn the decision and get a replay of the semi finals with T. I. Amass.

Meanwhile, the earlier decision to play the finals at Ejisu Okesse Park on Monday has been suspended to pave way for clarity on the appeal by Asanteman SHS.

After that decision is made, the federation will come clear on when and where to play the 3rd place and final game. In effect, there’s no record of injunction by Asanteman SHS before the Sports Federation but an official appeal which will be attended to early next week to pave way for the next line of action.
