New Academic Competition for SHS; Schools set to win E-Block and Pharmacy Scholarships; Full Details

The new kid on the block Entrance University of Health Sciences under the TOBINCO Group of Companies as part of its drive to encourage more Senior High School Graduates to enroll in their prestigious university has launched a new Science and Maths Quiz Competition dubbed “Entrance Science and Maths Quiz” for Senior High Schools across the country.

Never happened in the history of academic competitions in the country with winners of an academic competition having a fully funded E-Block Constructed for their school. This is what TOBINCO’s Entrance University College of Health Sciences (EUCHS) promising to do for winners of their maiden Quiz Competition.

The University is the first private university to be accredited to offer the Prestigious Doctor of Pharmacy Program (Pharm. D) degree in the whole of West Africa. Their core mandate of providing the required skills, professionalism and well equipped facilities to train students in the pharmaceutical field and medicine related areas as well.

To launch deep and make an indelible mark in Senior High Schools while creating the necessary awareness about this new Prestigious University, the Entrance University College of Health Sciences with permission from the Ghana Education Service has come out with this mind blowing academic contest to reward students and schools with unprecedented prizes including Scholarships to pursue the Doctor of Pharmacy and other science related programs with the biggest one being the Construction of an E-Block for the winning school.

REQUIREMENT

Stage 1

Each school is to submit one entry essay on behalf of three students beween 250 to 300 Words on the topic “As the leader of Environmental friendly club in your school, the only source of water within your community has been polluted with chemicals and waste substances as a result of ‘Galamsey’ activities within your community. Describe how you will use scientific and technological approaches in solving this problem to make the water clean for domestic use”.

Stage 2

Six schools with the best essay from the Region will compete in Maths and Science Quiz Competition for the winner to represent the Region.

Stage 3

National Contest of the Winners of the various Regions to be telecast on TV.

Winner of the National Contest wins the E-Block plus scholarships for students to read Doctor of Pharmacy Program at the University.

The three students putting the essay together should indicate their name, school, region of school, class and subject offered

Schools are to submit their essays to their respective Regional Science and Maths Coordinators for compilation to Accra.

Shortlisted students will enter into the next stage of the competition to be broadcast live on TOBINCO’s Atinka TV in Accra.
