NSMQ 2022; Ashanti Region Schools Get Set For Balloting; Check Full Details

Primetime Ghana Limited, Producers of the National Science and Maths Quiz has commenced preparations for the 2022 edition of the quiz championship.
Regional Qualifiers will be held across the sixteen regions to select representatives from the various regions to the National Championship.

Pursuant to this, the Ashanti Region will hold a balloting session for schools competing in this year’s round of qualifiers as various schools in the regions bid to secure a qualification ticket to the National Championship.
The balloting session is scheduled for the 8th of April, 2022 at the Burges Hall at Opoku Ware School.
The time for the program is 10:00am.

All schools interested in competing at the qualifying round would be expected to designate one teacher to the venue to represent the interest of the school in the balloting.
Schools that wish to participate in the competition for the first time are also permitted to send a representative for the balloting.

Prempeh College from the Ashanti Region are the defending Champions of the Competition. The school grabbed its fifth title after beating six-time winners Presec Legon from Accra and first time-finalist Keta Senior High Technical School from the Volta Region.

The coveted NSMQ trophy was being contested by these three top schools including title-defenders Presbyterian Boys’ SHS (PRESEC), Legon.

Prempeh College emerged winners after grabbing 53 points beating their contenders, Presec Legon, who had 49 points and Keta Senior High and Technical school who managed just 30 points after five rounds of intense questions and answers.
