UNIVERSITY OF CAPE COAST SANDWICH COURSES AND REQUIREMENTS.

“A sandwich course is an academic degree or higher education course involving practical work experience in addition to academic study” according to Wikipedia. 

Like many universities, University Of Cape Coast offers sandwich courses.

For the 2022/2023 academic year, the sale of the forms ended on 15th April, 2022. The first semester will officially begin from July to September, 2022.

UCC Sandwich Admission Programmes And Requirements

1. Bachelor of Education (Science)

To get admission into this programme, you must have: 

A Diploma in Basic Education(Mathematics And Science) with credit in any two of the following:

Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Elective Mathematics in SSSCE/WASSCE.

2. Bachelor of Education (Mathematics)

To get admission into this programme, you must have:

A Diploma in Basic Education(Mathematics And Science) with credit in

Elective Mathematics with Chemistry or Physics, Economics in SSSCE/WASSCE.

3. Bachelor of Education (Arts)

To get admission into this programme, you must have:

A Diploma in Basic Education with credit in any two of the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE;

Literature in English, History, Christian/Islamic Religious Studies, French, Ghanaian Language.

4. Bachelor of Education (Social Sciences)

To get admission into this programme, you must have:

A Diploma in Basic Education with credit in any two of the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE;

Elective Mathematics, Geography, Economics.

5. Bachelor of Education (Social Studies)

To get admission into this programme, you must have:

A Diploma in Basic Education with credit in Geography and any two of the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE;

Economics, History and Government.

6. Bachelor of Education (Home Economics)

To get admission into this programme, you must have:

A Diploma in Basic Education with credit in any two of the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE;

Clothing and textiles, Management in living or General Knowledge in Arts, Food and Nutrition, Biology and Chemistry.

7. Bachelor of Education (Management)

To get admission into this programme, you must have:

A Diploma in Basic Education with credit in Business Management  and any two of the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE;

Elective Mathematics, Accounting, Costing and Economics.

8. Bachelor of Education (Accounting)

To get admission into this programme, you must have:

A Diploma in Basic Education with credit in Accounting and any two of the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE;

Elective Mathematics, Business Management, costing and Economics.

9. Bachelor of Education (Information Technology)

To get admission into this programme, you must have:

A Diploma in Basic Education with credit in any two of the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE;

Elective Mathematics, Business Management, Accounting and Economics.

1. You must visit https://apply.ucc.edu.gh/

2. Choose (Institute of Education) Sandwich programmes application.

3. Select Application Level: Select Undergraduate (Bachelor)

4. Select Application Type: Select Institute Of Education  Post WASSCE with Diploma – Sandwich (DEGREE).

5. All applicants are required to print out the completed application form and provide the following

information at the back of the large EMS envelope:

(a) application reference number 

(b) fullname 

(c) postal address 

(d) first choice programme

(e) application category which should be: INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION POST WASSCE WITH DIPLOMA -SANDWICH (DEGREE) programme.

6. Applications on which APPLICATION REFERENCE NUMBERS are not indicated will not be

processed.

7. APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO SEND THE COMPLETED FORM BY EMS TO: THE DIRECTOR,
