Prempeh College Overpower O. T. To Qualify for Finals of Debate: Awaits KUHIS/PRESEC-B
Prempeh College has done it for the second year running by reaching the finals of the High School Debate Competition after narrowly beating Osei Tutu SHS in the first semi finals of the competition.
Prempeh College were finalist last year losing out to eventual winners St. Monica’s SHS.
The school repeated that feat in an unprecedented fashion by shooting down high flying Osei Tutu in a closely contested battle today at the Auditorium of Christian Service University College under the motion “Juvenile Offenders Should be tried and treated as Adults”.
Prempeh CCollege awaits the winner of the contest between Kumasi High School and Presby SHS, Bompata. The 2nd semi final contest is scheduled for Friday 15th July. Prempeh becomes the first school to reach consecutive final of the competition.
The motions are set, the adrenaline is high, anxiety is rising, tongues are wagging, pulses are rising, tension is reaching a crescendo. Which school will make it to the grand finale? Prempeh College takes on Osei Tutu SHS on the motion “Juvenile Offenders Should be tried and treated as Adults”. Christian Service University College is the venue. Will it be O. T. or Prempeh College? At stake is a trip to the beautiful Dubai or Europe, the stakes are too high. The two schools have in their fold some very wonderful Debaters who will be doing justice to this very ancient topic. In the end, only 1 out of the 2 schools will qualify.
