The Regional Level Refresher Training Workshop is ongoing today accross the country for fourteen Facilitators drawn from the various districts.

The successful conclusion of the Regional level Refresher Training now paves way for the three day Training Workshop for all Junior High School Teachers accross the country which kicks off from Wednesday 12th January through to Friday 14th January, 2022 accross selected centers in the various districts.

The training on the Common Core Program will make way for implementation at the JHS level now classified as part of the Basic Level going up to SHS 1.

The Training of Facilitators for the CCP for JHS was done somewhere ending 2020 but the Training of Teachers at the School level delayed for some time. The Ghana Education Service therefore authorized a Refresher Training course for the facilitators which came off today the 10th of January. The fourteen Facilitators from the various districts are not set to deliver a cutting edge facilitation at their various districts beginning this Wednesday the 12th January to Friday. However some districts with high number of teachers may likely be put into Cohorts 1 and 2 due to the limited number of Facilitators to handle the areas. Should this happen, it is likely that some few districts may need additional days to complete the Common Core Program.

All Junior High School Teachers have been encouraged go to attach utmost importance to this Training in order to be equipped to delived the Common Core Program.
Teachers at the Primary level have already gone through their training and have started implementation for over a year now.
After the Training Workshop, the implementation of the CCP will be rolled out at JHS 1 or BS7 but forms 2s and 3s will exit on the old curriculum.
In a period of three years it is expected that there would have been a full roll out of the CCP Program.

Below are some sights and scenes at the Refresher Training Workshop.
