How to Apply for English Proficiency from the University of Ghana

English Language Proficiency is the ability of Students to use the English language to make and communicate meaning in spoken and written contexts while completing their program of study.

The English Department of the University of Ghana certifies graduates or individuals from the University that they possess the necessary English proficiency to pursue any career path or for schooling purposes.

Proficiency may also be needed for those applying for UK’s QTS and many other academic applications where one wants English exemption.

Below are the simple steps to follow to get your English proficiency certification from UG.

Steps to Apply for English Proficiency from the University of Ghana

The following steps will guide your application in applying for a proficiency certificate at the University of Ghana.

step 1: You will be required to Pay the stipulated amount  for the proficiency certificate at the University’s Cash Office. Your student ID number may be required.

step 2: Attach the receipt to a copy of your certificate or transcript and submit to the General Office of the English Department at the University of Ghana

step 3: Remember to write your contact number at the back of the receipt.

step 4: You will be required to pick up your Proficiency certificate after three clear working days.
