The emblem of this great institution is a simple shield, a globe with the African Energy symbol attached in the background of a flowing river.

The edges of the river stands for the earth which is brownish in colour. This depicts the petroleum products and other minerals stored in the earth’s crust and animals.

The blue colour of the river stands for water as the most abundant resource on the planet.

The University’s core mandate is embedded in the yellow, green and brown colours which portrays the recycling and conservation of our natural resources.

Each of the colours has a succinct meaning. The meanings are as follows;

BLUE: Loyalty and Confidence.

BROWN: Humility, Simplicity, Dependability, Steadfastness, Friendliness and Good Health.

GREEN: Growth and Productivity.

YELLOW: Wealth, Wisdom and a Highly Networked Faculty.
